Translation

When you can measure what you are speaking about, and express it in numbers, you know something about it, when you cannot express it in numbers, your knowledge is of a meager and unsatisfactory kind.

Strict Customer-Driven approach to Quality Assurance is what makes VEROLING different from other translation agencies. While each language service provider has different quality objectives and QA concepts,

LISA QA

The mechanism of the Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA) aims to maintain the quality and accuracy of the project review process. While analyzing regular feedbacks and by monitoring the implemented standards, VEROLING has developed a complex system of full service package monitoring and QA Surveillance.
VeroQA is designed after the Lisa QA quality assurance model in order to promote the best translation and localization methods for the software and hardware industries

The total quality score is based on calculating the number of errors and type of errors detected in the text.

01

Types of errors

  • Wrong terminology in use
  • Syntactic errors
  • Omissions
  • Word structure errors
  • Misspellings
  • Punctuation errors
  • Formatting errors
  • Country and style consistency

The greater the total quality score, the better the translation result we have. The VeroQA reports provide valuable information to monitor the performance of our translation providers as well as important data for continuous process improvement. Each error is defined and characterized.

02

Severity levels assigned

  • critical
  • major
  • minor
  • preferencial

As the result, QA manager at VEROLING knows which parts are to be changed and defines the project as “PASS” or “FAIL”. Failing translation projects are reported to the Project Manager and are to be sent for additional rework and review by proofreaders.
Error-free translation is sent to the client and the translation project is finalized.
